Deutsche – German

If you know this blog, you’ll know that I’m constantly using German words in my sentences. Most of them are not perfectly accurate, but I took German for one year so It can’t be perfect. Also they’re farely obvious, so this is just as a random guide incase you are curious.

Here are some of the words you’lll see me use, and their translations.

Es   –   It

Ist   –   Is

Eine   –   A

Bin   –   Am

Diese   –   The

Habe   –   Have  (as in “have something”)

Das   –   That

Was   –   What

Miene   –   My

Mich   –   Me

Ich   –   I

Du   –   You

Wir   –   We

Kann   –   Can

Nicht   –   Not

Nein   –   No

Ja   –   Yes

 Sie   –   She \ they

Er   –   He

Mächien   –   Girl

Junge   –   Boy

Kliene   –   Little

Groß   –   Big \ large

Famile   –   Family

Mutter   –   Mother

Vater   –   Father

Großmutter   –   Grandmother

Großvater   –   Grandfather

Gern    –    Like

Liebt   –   Love

Sehr   –   Very

Gut   –   Good/Fine

Malen   –   Painting (n)

Bild   –   picture

Essen   –   Eat

Katze   –   Cat

Danke   –   Thank you

Hallo    –    Hello

Guten Tag   –   Good day

Auf Wiedersehen   –   Goodbye
