You’re stuck with me again

Hello everyone! Wow, I disappeared for three months! I hope that’s ok… Anyway, I have a very good reason for why I’ve left, so bear with me here. Anyway, it all started the week I left. I was photographing a rather large and beautiful blue flower.

1

He’s very mean, so I was doing it in secret. Suddenly, though, the lens cap slipped out of my hand, and got covered I dirt from the ground. When I reached down to grab it, I lost my balance, and tripped down the cliff behind me!

2

When I landed, I wasn’t really hurt. But I was stuck down there, and since I had been photographing in secret, no one knew I was there! So there I was, at the bottom of a cliff, and darkness was coming it was all I could do to build a fire and roast hot dogs.

3

When I woke up in the morning, I knew I had to do something. So I reached down, took a rock, said “Here goes nothing” used it to put out the fire, and walked up the stone escalator behind me. Needless to say, when I got back my parents were surprised. They’d thought I’d left for good this time. They had already turned my room into a study, and my art studio in the living room was gone!

4

I was obviously very mad at my parents. They did seem to feel bad about it, but still. I forced them to remake everything I had done, including my paintings, and have it done within the week. However once they realized how expensive that would be, they realized they couldn’t do it. So they decided to put me in a nursing home.

5

Unfortunately for them, I wouldn’t allow that. Once I was officially enrolled, I hatched a plan for my escape. As it turns out, the patients are allowed into the kitchen. So, using that old guy’s medication from the next room, I made a cake for the guards that would put them to sleep (this was a high security nursing home).

As I’m sure you can imagine, once I was out, there was no stopping me. The first thing I did was break into a butterfly greenhouse and steal all the butterflies, then sell them to myself for 50,000 dollars (can I help it if I like butterflies?)

7

After a few weeks of that, though, I realized something was missing. Sleeping on a sidewalk just wasn’t comfortable. So then I thought of people that care about me. Family had given up searching for me after a few hours, so they clearly didn’t. But then I thought, you guys have said that you care about me, or at least my posts! So if any of you wouldn’t mind if I stay at your house until I turn 18, I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks,

Simon

P.S. It’s good to be back.

P.P.S. Sorry to which one of you I stole this computer from.

P.P.P.S I took ALL of those pictures!

Yawn; a post about nothing

Untitled

Hello Everyone! I am so thankful for labor day’s three day weekend!

School has been exhausting, so I wish I could get more sleep. But my cat has kind of stolen my pillow…

asfShe doesn’t seem to realize that that’s where my head is supposed to go.

It’s raining today, and it’s a perfect lazy day, as my family calls it. Considering the circumstances, I don’t really have much planned for today. I guess a post about nothing is perfect for a day like this!

Remember my tiny polyphemus caterpillars? ASDF well they grew up… and died. I have two left now, which is really disapointing. I wanted to be able to raise atleast 5. Plus, if they die that easily, than it’s going to be tough to keep them alive until they’re moths. After all, they are still tiny, they’re at most 10 millimeters. I’ll keep you posted on how they do.

The jellyfish above is one of my favorite paintings, for two reasons: one is that it took me about 8 minutes to make. The second reason, is that the picture I painted it based on is not something I took (obviously), or something I looked for. It was the desktop background our old computer (just a neat story I like to share).

BUILD

OK, if you understand me, you know I’m overly ambisious.

What you see above is a greenhouse I intend to build… unrealistic – YES!! VERY!!! I’m overly ambisious, but I do have the ability to build things… I’ll keep you posted on the project. Just so you know, I am aware that it will never work out the way I planned it above.

Mola Patterns!!!

Untitled

This is a Mola.

Molas are made by the Kuna women of South America,

other people make them…

…I do.

I didn’t make that one.

I have made one…

… you’ll see that later.

Hallo everyone! Ich would first like to apologies to the person who made that Mola. I didn’t find any information about the artist when Ich found das bild, there was no information about the artist, und therefore Ich bin nicht able to give credit. I would also like to apologies to du, for lying. Before I explain, first let mich show you miene “Mola”, und the picture I modeled es after:

Mola inspired.55

Mola inspired

Molas are intricate patterns of thick woven fabric, sowed together to create traditional clothing. My Mola was made on the computer.

That’s how I lied. =)

In June, around diese time school got out last year, wir were given our last art assignment (Ich wissen (think) du kann figure out was das was). The assignment was to glue paper together to make the Mola, but I thought that was too easy, so I did something a bit different… I got a 70%.

At least Ich came out of es with something Ich kann share mit du =)

Candles

OK… sorry I made you guys wait. Ich would first like to comment on the new bild under miene award list. I have to thank http://poemotherapishoppe.com/ for that. I havent officially made the post for it, for three reasons. One, is that I need to award blogs with under 200 followers, which ist sehr complicated. Another is that… IT WAS MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TODAY. Ich bin, naturally, sehr tired und faul (lazy). The third, is that I just came back from the bathroom, und Ich found das miene katze, in her subtile ways, was telling me that I have five minutes left with the computer (and incidentally the chair).

IMG_5581

I guess I should get to it then

OK. I’m beginning to get a migrane, and my time with this chair strikes three minutes. so I’ll wrap it up by explaining quickly. The picture below is a collection of pictures I took of a sculpture. I call it candles, because most of it is wax and wicks (and the candles really do work) with the occasional fork or broken DVD-triangles. I made it a while ago, but some of the pieces didn’t look as interesting, and some were a bit too prochairous. So, naturally, my cat was compelled to break it. I fixed it up yesterday, and now I can share it with you guys:

Atlas Moth

IMG_3357      Untitled

My atlas moth Oil pastel creation!

Das ist miene first expirence using oil pastels, and I am suprised how long it took. If you’ve visited my blog, you’ve seen that picture. Ich have used es in many places, partly because the atlas moth is one of my favorite lepidoptera (over a foot long, and still a fast flier) aber also because I personally find it one of my favorite pictures ever. Naturally I was compelled to paint a picture. My family and I went on a short day hiking trip, and we visited a small art store in the area. That is where I bought the pastels. I started the painting the second I got he inspiration for it, so basically the moment we got home. I spent three days working on es, incuding eine visit to a friend of mine. And after all that work, finally I am finished, and I am sehr proud of it! I present it to you all to enjoy =)

Well, I have to leave now, but tomorrow I have another baking post planned…

Pipevine Swallowtail caterpillar painting, the succesful post

Ok, so the first time I attempted to post this, It didn’t work. But now I’ve made sure that wont happen again. Long story short, this is a painting (as the title suggests) of the Pipevine Swallowtail caterpillar. Basically the most interesting caterpillar in the world.

Well, I had more to say about the painting in my original version, aber ich wissen das ich could say it a bit simpler. Personally, looking back, I think I included too many criticisms. Not that its perfect, but considering das es was one of meine first canvas paintings, I think it’s pretty good. Now the caterpillar itself has been one of my interests since I found it in a handbook, when I was randomly selecting one to study. The painting is, as I said earlier, was one of my first paintings on a canvas. Early enough in the process of becoming a painter, I didn’t even have regular acrylics. I used craft acrylics. Still, now that Ich habe diese good kind of acrylics, none of the colors would have worked as well. However, I may not have had as much trouble with the shading. I’ve noticed that with the thicker texture, it’s easier to blend, aber nicht make it one shade alone. But, I didn’t have them and I had to remove some of its horns, from the painting. Well, I had to cut some of them partly because everyone thought they were legs. Maybe now that I’ve improved, I’ll add them in again.
OK, I’ve actually added more than I originally had, and I have to go somewhere with my family, so I’ll wrap it up. Ich bin just glad that I have the opportunity share this with all of you, as well as the many other painting posts I’ll be making over time.

The Pipevine Swallowtail caterpillar painting

Guten Abend! This is my fourth post, and I’ve already had almost 3o likes! I was also just re-blogged again by Sage Doyle at , thanks for re-blogging me =) And thanks to everyone who came from his blog to mine. I really appreciate it!

Diese post will be my first, of many, painting post. I would like to focus it on one of my best paintings, one of a Pipevine Swallowtail caterpillar.
